Carpe Diem - New Christian Marclay edition

Here is a new edition from Christian Marclay at the white cube.  Looks fun.  All details below

Christian Marclay's practice often revolves around the manipulation of sounds and music. 'Carpe Diem' is an instrument which resembles a time piece, but instead of being a working watch with mechanisms and a clock face, the artwork is a flat silver reflective face, with ball bearings within, creating a jarring, jangling sound much like a rattle or defunct tik-tok.

'Carpe Diem' was released in conjunction with the opening of Marclay's most recent exhibition at White Cube, which features the 'The Clock', a video work edited from thousands of fragments of films to create a 24-hour film, shown in real time. It is constructed out of moments in cinema when time is expressed or when a character interacts with a clock, watch or just a particular time of day.
